Memory lane 2: (1989) Bole Butake's The Survivors

After surviving what seems like a natural disaster, five survivors are caught in a web of corruption and human rights abuse. They are trapped as refugees and used as pawns by the government to attract international aid. Finally, one of the survivors, Mboysi (a woman) takes charge, manoevers the lead military officer (Bannavti Joseph) and kills him....how long will this victory last? Your guess is as good as mine! This performance took place at the legendary Amphi 700 of the University of Yaounde. It was filmed for Cameroon television by Thomas Kwasen Gwangwa'a.
